The packaging regulations are implemented to ensure the safety of goods during transportation from the sender to the customer.
Proper packaging according to standards helps protect the goods, reduces the rate of return shipments, and saves costs for the sender.
These packaging regulations serve as a reference basis for defining responsibilities among relevant parties in case of complaints arising from damages or issues occurring during transportation.
2. General Provisions
- SPX Express only accepts goods from the seller when the products are properly packaged and preserved according to standards; and ships the items in their original packaging. Goods are only subject to joint inspection if the seller opts for this method, as permitted on the website spx.vn or in certain areas approved by Shopee E-Commerce Platform (for orders placed on Shopee). This is according to notifications issued by SPX Express at different times.
- In cases where the customer receives the goods and confirms that the original packaging is intact, and signs a receipt confirming the delivery in good condition, SPX Express will decline to process any claims related to missing items inside the package afterward.
- Packaging is considered compliant only when it meets the following requirements:
The goods must be packed in a manner that prevents movement or deformation within the box/package during transportation. (Specific regulations for each item type are listed in Section 3R.)
The package must be securely sealed with tape on all surfaces to ensure that the product does not fall out of the package during transit.
Special goods such as liquids, fragile items, easily dented or deformed items, and heat-sensitive products must be packed to meet the transportation conditions.
It is not recommended to use paper or fabric for packing. For items susceptible to dirt or moisture, place them in a sealed plastic bag with tape before packing.
Use adhesive tape to seal the package; refrain from using ropes or cords.
The actual weight of the goods after packaging must correspond to the weight information on the delivery note attached to the outside of the package.
If the goods require accompanying documents as regulated by law, the sender is responsible for ensuring such documents are provided:
- Provide the original or certified copy of the invoice.
- Provide relevant documents, professional permits, certificates, or other authentic documents issued by authorized agencies (for goods that are legally required to have such paperwork).
- The invoice or user manual should be placed inside the package before sealing, not attached to the outside of the box. It is recommended to place them in a sealed zip bag to prevent moisture and damage during transportation.
- SPX Express shall refuse compensation for damaged goods caused by the sender's fault (e.g., improper packaging leading to breakage or damage) or goods damaged due to the natural characteristics of the product (such as easily melting items, short shelf-life foods, etc.).
- To ensure quick delivery and prevent errors during transportation, the package must display the following three pieces of information, which must be accurate and truthful:
Sender and receiver information (Name/Phone number/Customer address)
SPX Express tracking code
Details related to the goods, including: contents of the package and cargo details
